Earth 2 is pleased to announce that Reality Thread 3 will include version 1 of our server-authoritative multiplayer system built to operate across Earth 2’s vast 510,072,000 km² open world, E2V1. This marks the first time Players will be able to actively connect inside E2V1, see other Characters in real-time and experience the early foundations of Earth 2’s multiplayer environment.
Originally planned for release after the update went live, we’ve decided to publish this article ahead of time to give our community a chance to fully digest the scope of this release. In addition to multiplayer, this update includes Mentar Storage v1.0, hotkey binding, emotes, terrain collision fixes, environmental synchronisation and more – all achieved in just four weeks of focused development.
Reality Thread 3 is another step forward in our bold open development journey, where our community is invited to witness and experience progress as it happens.

P.S We know some assumed we’ve just been patching potholes these past few weeks.. How about releasing multiplayer across an entire geologically accurate 510 million km2 digital Earth?
